September
September 4, 2016
The sun has risen, as every morning does. But today is different. Today we start September.
Last night it was raining, did you hear it? A Summer storm, indeed; maybe the last one of the season (who knows?), and it lasted till the early morning, as if the clouds knew that September was going to come.
They greeted him showing their respect; clearing the way and stop watering the dry streets and the roofs.
This way the proud September Sun can watch its reflection on the ground.
September will bring its own rain; cooler than the Summer one, within grayer and shorter days.
The sun has risen. Again. A September sun. Kinder and softer than the August one. And a bit more melancholic. Shyer. They say it’s the same one… but I don’t believe them anymore.
Isn’t it a beautiful name, September? I think my favorite one, besides April. And both of them so different... so complementary. September could be the male. April its female. They could make love and match perfectly… But they never touch eachother, like Navarre and Isabeau, in Ladyhawk.
Well, let's stop saying nonsenses. The breakfast is ready! waiting for us in the table. A healthy and delicious continental breakfast.
Continental Breakfast
It has been simmered with Love. I have tried to put all the things in their right place. And there is nothing left… but YOU. So sit down on the table, please, as YOU are today my guest.
Everything is meant to make you feel comfortable at my place.
There is some tea, with five leaves on the water and there is some coffee too, filling with its smell the whole kitchen. But the coffee must be mixed with the milk. You will find the milk in the ceramic creamer.
I have bought a couple of small seeds bread pieces, and I’ve put them on the plate. They are still warm, freshly out from the oven. The butter is gonna be melted just by touching them. That’s the moment of the strawberry jam. A perfect mix, isn’t it?
Some Spanish olive oil and some pine honey can give their taste to the bread, as well.
There is a huge glass of orange juice, too. Freshly squeezed for you. I think I could stare at it for hours, watching how the sunlight scatters on its volume, creating amazing orange shades.
And no… I haven’t forgot the Nutella… How could I? It's there, almost hidden behind the coffee maker, as a naughty child after doing something wrong…
A perfect breakfast, isn’t it?
The sun has risen. Again. And this time, after the rain, you can see two rainbows. The first one is outside. Can you see it through the window?
The second one is on the wall. It looks like the sun light has been dispersed through the roof glass.
I love when it happens. It's like Magic. A Miracle.
They say it’s a symbol of abundance and bliss.
I believe it. Actually I believe what I want, as you can see ;)
I see it as a blessing on my wall…
Ok, let’s start!!! The breakfast is gonna cool down!
Enjoy!
Hail September mood!
Welcome to my new stage!
September has come! At last!
I hope you have enjoyed the breakfast ;)
Obviously the breakfast is a hook to keep you here, at my place.
First of all I have to acknowledge an important influence on my work, which many of you can guess, maybe.
I'm talking about Giorgio Morandi. A beloved artist of mine, as many many others whom I love learning from...

Giorgio Morandi
I simply admire the way he arranges the elements on his canvases and engravings, as if they were buildings instead of bottles and pottery.
Morandi is, for me, the spiritual architect of the still lifes. It sounds good, doesn't it?

Giorgio Morandi. Grande natura morta con la lampada a destra, 1928
I had him on my mind when I was arranging my composition.
And now, my reader, let's talk about September ;)
September brings changes in Made with Love. Let me tell you about them.
First of all, you have found a different (and I hope more comfortable) design in the website, which is something I was looking forward for a long time. At last, now it's fully compatible with mobile devices, too.
The second thing has to do with my work, and also with my Red Thread's blog. Though I want to keep a regular periodicity, I cannot keep the wild workflow of weekly entries anymore. It was killing me!!! ;)
I need empty spaces on my mind, I guess. They will bring beautiful things. Besides, I can focus that way on bigger projects.
So stay tunned to my site. You can join my Facebook page (below), if you want. This new stage is gonna be very different to the previous one. New branches on the tree, new vectors on the way, new experiences to achieve...
Exciting paths ahead, isn't it? You are very invited to share them.
Health and Love for everyone!!!
;)
Note: I'm not a native English speaker and sometimes I think I'm writing too much ;) Anyway I apologize for every single mistake I make with your beautiful language. If you feel like correcting me or giving me some advice, please, don't hesitate: drop me a line! I'll be glad to read you!
