As I told you in my first post, I really don’t know where this Red Thread blog is going to take me. Still don’t know, but I must confess I’m enjoying the path.
I wanted to a do these days something completely different. Kind of a challenge.
I love art, that’s a fact in my life. I can be staring a piece of art for hours. I have always liked to play with classic Art History works. Twisting them or only having fun with them. I also love ordinary objects, as you know.
And I love Blender, so: why not to put them all together???
This is the basics of my new thread "Meditations and Inspirations". Thinking and studying the work of art masters (meditations) and playing with them in order to make something personal and creative (inspirations).
I decided to start with an Spanish artist who I love, too: Chema Madoz.
I find him a truly inspirational artist, as he teaches people to see things in a different way as we have been taugh.
Actually, Chema Madoz is not only a photographer, not only an artist, but a poet, for me. He is beyond labels and he has reached the highest quality status in his works.
He is in the same thread than Magritte, Man Ray, or Joan Brossa. They play in the same league, we could say.
They play with unexpected things, surprising scenes, impossible objects, They play with reality, and the way we perceive it.
Playing with Chema Madoz Scissors
There are some objects in his works that appear quite often. I have chosen a scissors and a shaving blade.
I modeled the scissors from this well known beautiful composition.
I liked the light and the marble as a background. Then, when I first put the objects together, an idea came to my mind…
… And here you have. I hope you like it.
As you can notice, the background is completely symmetrical, one with the other, so they can combine both directions like a strange Rorschach pattern
